Our hostel was called Olé Barcelona and it was right next to Sagrada Familia - perfect location! The weather wasn't scorching hot, but it was warm enough to wear short sleeves and skirts - and even get a bit sunburnt...
We spent most of our first day on the beach. The sea was cold, but Ollie and I did even swim for a while!
The next day we went to visit Sagrada Familia. Ollie is a big fan of the architect Gaudi, so it was particularly exciting for her.
We even went up to one of the towers. I don't think it shows on my face that I was actually pretty scared...
Guess what 'quetxup' is?
We saw a Chanel photoshoot on the street!
Another Gaudi building |
Churros with chocolate! They're a bit like donuts but crispier. |
I tried on a dress at a shop, and the shop assistant wrote my name on the door... |
All in all, it was a great little holiday. For some reason, Spain has never been one of those countries that I absolutely must visit, so it was great to try it out now that I'm a bit closer to it! I'm really glad that I went! And I'm certainly missing that weather...
